Pre Wedding Sessions

I highly recommend all couples take on the Pre Wedding session, especially if you’re the type of couple who are a tad shy or a little unsure when being in front of the camera.

I have a ‘Zero to Hero’ policy – with a 100% strike rate – and can see the amount of confidence it gives couples on the wedding day. This is a super chill, relaxed session where we take 45mins and get some amazing shots, being slightly directed by me to build your confidence.

Best part is you get to walk away with an amazing set of images to  capture this point of your life, allowing you both to share them before the wedding day.

Being a boutique, sole creator and operator, Gez’s visual storytelling wedding photography services are constantly evolving with ‘camera in hand’ experience.

Being a trusted, professional for years now has allowed me to grow in my understanding as to what couples need to know when looking to book in their perfect wedding photographer, and to be confident in not only their abilities to handle the day, but back it up timeless evidence.

Here are a few FAQ’s to fast track that process;

How long have you been photographing weddings?

I’m now in my 12th year of capturing amazing weddings full time. My 1st wedding was shot in Sydney where I captured the day as a favour for a friends sister, and then never looked back. My background consists of multiple visual communication degrees, including a Batchelor of Design, graduating from the National Institute of Dramatic Arts, Sydney (NIDA).

What’s your style?

Simply put, it’s “creative uninterrupted visual storytelling“. Some refer to this as ‘candid’, ‘visual documentation’ or photojournalism. My unique style is only shared with the couples I get to work with.

Do you Travel?

Yes – I sure do. I am based in the beautiful town of Lorn – only 20minutes from the heart of the Hunter Valley, 8 minutes from wedding venues such at Tocal Homestead, Wallalong House and Mindaribba, and about 35mins from Newcastle.

You’ll also see me travel everywhere across N.S.W including areas of the Upper Hunter, the Mid North Coast, Mudgee, Orange and the central west – down to the Sydney, The Southern Highlands, The Blue Mountains and the South Coast. Travelling interstate or internationally is defiantly on the cards too – so lets get chatting if you love my style!

Any room for a ‘mates-rates’ discount?

Being a one-man-band that over-delivers for all of his clients, means that there isn’t any room for discounts. I understand that weddings can be expensive, but I also believe that quality investments last a lifetime.

How do we secure our date with you?

I take a $750.00 booking fee to book out the date with you. Once paid, your chosen wedding date is no longer available to any other couple.

Can we meet before booking in?

Of course – I do this over Zoom or in person, during the week. If meeting in person, I’ll let you know a nice ‘speak easy’ and will bring along some fine art wedding albums for you both to have a look at.

We don’t like posing – will that be a problem?

Never. 80% of my couples are in the same boat. Doing this for many years has given me great skills to make you both feel and (more importantly..) look great. The proofs in the pudding!

How many photos will we get?

I base my shots off 100 pr/ hour. So a typical wedding will consist between 800-1000 from the day. All images will be fully edited.

When do we do the Pre Wedding Shoot?

These take place anytime between 6-3 weeks before your wedding day, and during the week, working around weddings.

With currently over 60 5*star Google reviews and over 80% of wedding enquires coming from word of mouth, I’m stoked to be working alongside couples who want amazing images from their wedding day.

Never has it been such an important time to be having these memories crafted into amazing products that you can view and cherish for generations to come. We take immense pride in our execution of print, to deliver the best product possible, in an easy, light way.

Super8 Film

Kodak Super8 films have made their comeback from the depths of your grandparents attic, simply because it’s a one-of-a-kind visual art medium that cannot be replicated. And what better way to showcase your special wedding day than with a hunter film pro capturing your unique story.

We exclusively also offer Super8 wedding and elopement film services to accompany your wedding photography and each job is discussed with our couples before the big day to get the very best outcome.

This is a high passion of ours that brings so much more to your day, and it’s something we’ll continue to build as the years roll on.

Our love for Super8 and 35mm photography film started many moons ago, playing with start of the art, 1980’s tech. We’re stoked to offer this exclusive, moment-making service to our couples.

Is Super8 film for us?

This medium is 100% analogue in it’s capture and requires manually focusing and 20/20 vision of the operator to focus on moving subjects. In terms of style, think vintage, nostalgic film 1st person shooting, with off the hip angles, light bursts and in-camera editing.

Not to mention a great talking point on the day with guests, all while involving your bridal party to capture those key moments of each other.

We also capture 120 and 35mm film too, so if you’ve always dreamt of that framed, photographic moment to hang on the wall, we’d love to capture it for you.

Mention Super8 when we meet up to get more info on the whole process and why we’re now offering this exclusive service to Australian and international weddings.
